Another Yoga Bag
I've been slowly getting busy with sewing again. It's taken me a while to complete this project 'cuz I pick it up, put it down and then go take a picture! I'm not sure which I like more...I think photography is really my passion, but Designs by D.a.u.n.e. will keep me busy for years, too!

OH, I've been working hard~
Ok, so I took a pair of little girl leggin's from a friend and used them as a pattern and then added my own design to distinguish them from any other pair out there...particularly since I made them and they're a 'one of a kind'~
Curly little ruffle on the bottom~
These leggin's are for a little one about a year or eighteen months old, depending on how chubbie their thighs are!!! They're made from stretch knit and very soft.
Price: $15.50, including shipping.

One can't have a cute pair of leggin's without a tutu to twirl in!
It matches perfectly! Just adorable...!
Very full!!!
Price: $40, including shipping.

Well, one can't just design for little girls, right?
So, in order for the boys to feel that I have their gender in mind, I designed a 'tool apron' for the little boys. Of course, the twins are way too big for this one, but perhaps you know a little guy that loves to build and needs a place for all his tools!
The back is lined and very durable for those times when he's constructing a fort or playing in the dirt pile, digging up rocks and storing in the pockets~
Price: $12, including shipping.

What I love about these jammies is that they're a 'one of a kind'...
This was all the fabric they had at JoAnn's, so I snatched it up and I only wish I had enough to make myself some!~
These jammies are about a size seven for girls.
This is a flannel fabric and very soft, with two side pockets.
Price: $30, including shipping.

Moving on...
A crayon apron with a matching coloring book bag! Completely Texan!
The waistband is made of ribbon and measures 46", enough to make a cute bow in the back for a girl between two years old and five, I believe.
Price: $35, including shipping.
Well, I must get back to pricing tags for the shop these are going in tomorrow.
Remember, these are 'one of a kind' creations, so if you're interested, please let me know a.s.a.p.~
Blessings!

Little Girl Full-sized apron!
My news? I'm now selling my 'goodies' in DIY Factory on San Pedro as of Feb. 4th! Sooo, I've been 'in stitches' for days making many different things. I finished this apron way too late to tell! But it was quiet and with no interruptions!
Totally colorful and crayony! Is that a word? I just love this one. Some little girl is going to want to color up a storm with this full apron, complete with crayons and a pocket to keep her treasures in.

Things are happening!
Oh my word! I am so excited. I can't share yet or upload pix cuz, for one thing, my wonderful camera is in the shop getting cleaned up!
But suffice to say, I'm working like crazy at finishing up stuff for what's ahead...
As soon as I get more info, I'll share my news...
I'm finishing up an adorable ® Crayola crayon full apron that ought to go quick...and yesterday I finished three projects...a ® Crayola print pennant and two different camouflage boy tool/apron belts...so stinkin' cute!
Thought I'd post since it's been forever...I have made a few more things, but they'll have to post after I get my camera back...
Until then, keep your life in stitches...life is too short not to enjoy every thread of it~

Garden Club exchange!!!
This morning I finished up making a 'Garden Club' exchange gift...
a canvas-lined apron, accented with matching garden gloves, two garden tools, and a handmade cotton knitted washcloth, bathed in prayer (I pray as I knit!)!

My sister went and picked up some free fabric and this particular piece went perfectly with the theme: gardening!
I so enjoyed making this apron, though I had no idea who'd receive it! She absolutely loved it and asked if she could hug me!!!
Hugs make gift-giving the best!

I was in such a rush to finish it, I forgot to take a pix! So, I asked her if I could take one, which didn't turn out so great, but the one of her wearing it is nice!
It matched her outfit beautifully!

When the world gives you lemons...
Last night, Love and I headed across town to pick up a huge box of fabric, but when I got home, although there were some larger pieces, most of the stuff was scraps. UGH!
But then it hit me:
when life gives you lemons, make lemonade!
So, I decided to make a braided rug and this is what I have so far. I'm really enjoying this project. Not sure if I'll sell this one, being that it's the first one, or give it as a gift for Christmas...
If you do receive this as a gift, know it was made with love, took a lot of time, effort and a sore thumb!

More Valances
Another project completed, hand delivered to NY and a very satisfied customer!
Once again, Donna, sent me this beautiful fabric and asked me to make another set; I thought the stitching went well with it---she loved 'em.
It's truly a pleasure to make people happy~
and she is such a grateful person!!!
If you're needing any valances made, drop me a note @ designsbydaune@yahoo.com.
I'd be more than glad to serve you.
